Hi, I’m Christina.

I recently founded Sapling, designed to help outdoor industry start-ups and small businesses grow, thrive, and stand tall. With over a decade of marketing experience and a deep passion for the outdoors, I bring a unique blend of professional expertise and personal passion to every project.

My mission is to help your brand grow with intentionally efficient marketing that resonates. Whether you need a one-time project or ongoing support, I’m here to help you connect with your audience and achieve your goals—all while staying rooted in the values that make the outdoor industry so special.

Let’s grow something great together!

My Experience

With over a decade of marketing experience, I help small outdoor brands get scrappy, push boundaries, and grow sustainably. From launching products to managing budgets, I bring data-driven strategies and creative solutions to plant new ideas and drive impactful results.

  • Before founding Sapling, I honed my skills at Hyperlite Mountain Gear, where I worked alongside the Chief Marketing Officer to shape the company’s marketing strategy. I assisted in leading the marketing team and drove initiatives that contributed to year-over-year sales growth. My accomplishments there included:

    • Leading the go-to-market process for 33+ product launches, overseeing everything from branding to KPI tracking.

    • Managing a $2.3M marketing and advertising budget while ensuring efficiency and growth.

    • Launching promotions that brought in over $200K in additional revenue, including initiatives to deplete “second quality” inventory.

    • Implementing a Shopify returns software that saved $20K in fees and retained over $200K in gross sales within the first 6 months since implementation.

    • Organizing and executing brand events that drove over $100K in incremental sales.

  • Prior to that, I was part of the brand management team at Adventure Ready Brands, where I gained valuable experience guiding GTM timelines, managing social media channels, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products and campaigns.

  • I had the privilege to volunteer on the marketing and communications teams for the New Hampshire chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club and the Mount Washington Observatory, supporting initiatives that connected people with the outdoors. At the Observatory, I focused on event marketing, including Seek the Peak, their largest annual fundraiser. My work involved planning, promoting, and driving engagement to help these organizations achieve their mission of outdoor education, conservation, and community building.
